Hello everybody! Use this thread to discuss this year's Alegarten! Alegarten in 2017 will be the final year that it works the way it does. Starting in 2018 Alegarten will be moved to the summertime and may have a different method of obtaining items. Please check the FAQ below for an extended explanation.

What is Alegarten? Alegarten was an annual celebration that lasted for 5 days, which started on the first of October. It was the Subeta version of Oktoberfest. You can read more about Alegarten on the Subetapedia page: http://subeta.net/subetapedia/index.php?act=ventry&id=99[/url] 🆕 For 2018 and onward it has been announced that Alegarten will work differently. It will move to the summertime and may have a different method of obtaining the items. explains: This is honestly the best move for us. The artists can only do so many Oktoberfest items, like there isn't that much imagination there. The artists also really need a break between holidays, so now they'll have a break between anniversary/pirates and Morostide. Rah and I are really pumped for the potential for the summer festivals Gunter could be running and Oatmeal themed things we could do. 😄

Does this mean that the Alegarten shop stock will be retired, or is the entire holiday (and the shop stock) relocating to summer? answers: The items won't be retired forever, but I don't want to commit to an answer as to how they'll be back. We could do a lot of cool different things which means possibly switching up the shop or whatever. This is the last time he's opening the shop in October though.

I suggest you buy what you want now while you have the chance to. At this time, we don't know how this event will be run in the summer because there's a lot of possibilities for it. So it might not work out to have a shop like this during that time (but we'll find another way to get items out) or it might work out to have the shops and add another tab. He might be running festivals every year. He might be doing some summer themed gear. We don't 100% know yet! I don't want to say YES SHOP WILL DEF BE BACK NEXT SUMMER and then it not be because we went another way.

So like I said, I suggest getting the items if you can now.

When did Alegarten start on site? Looking through the news archives I can only find the earliest news about Alegarten from October 1st, 2008. (news post)

How can I dress for Alegarten? The wearables released in the Brewery Shop are appropriate Alegarten attire. If you still aren't sure, try looking on Google images of "dirndl" and "lederhosen". The is an Alegarten related costume trunk.

<p>Much is changing here at ze brewery. It seems that October is a very busy time und I am not getting ze customer numbers I wud enjoy. Everyone is only caring about pirates und spooks! Ze real time to enjoy a cool crisp beer und a delicious vegan hot dog is in ze summer. So I’m moving! Alegarten will be back with new items next summer when I can have all ze attention for myself. <p>For one last time in October though, I’ll be opening my Food Haus, Geschenkboutique und Gute Ale shop, which will be staying open with unlimited stock until 11:59pm on October 6th. You can find all of my monthly brews in ze Gute Ale shop, too, from my leftover stock. Ze price is a little higher now for those who didn’t join my Selbstgebraute, you understand! Speaking of ze home brew club, I am unfortunately bringing that to an end, too. It was very fun for me but I have so many ideas for ze summer that I want to put my full efforts into that!</p>

Shop Guide

Since there are no new items this year this is the price info from last year. Hopefully all of the same items are still there.

*There are NO new items in the shop this year. *Costs 44,140,000 sP to buy every single item this year. *All three shops are available simultaneously for the entire duration of Alegarten. *The shops are ordered by itemID, putting the newest items at the top in each shop. *There's a 10 second wait time in between purchases. *I recommend checking user shop prices first just in case the user shop is cheaper than the set price!

Curious to see what new items they add this year. I am not a fan of beer personally but still this is a fun little mini holiday.

I'm so excited for Alegarten! <3 Last year I came back from a long hiatus to catch it, so it was my first proper holiday back. Good memories c: Got my outfit ready. No beer on this avatar yet. Saving that for when Alegarten officially begins! I have to stock up on the goodies from the shop this year and get the achievements from last year that I didn't get. Looking forward to wearables and food, both old and new :) After very hectic/frantic Keel Hauliday (and not having much luck getting the rare items during RSing), I am so ready for a shop that's not always nearly empty ;w;

It would be wonderful if Alegarten starts early; in recent years past it has gone from evening to late afternoon. 2016: 3:55 pm 2015: 4:55 pm 2014: 6:09 pm 2013: 7:00 pm

I actually thought the collections news post was going to be the Alegarten one, because it happened right after I saw this thread. :P

They do tend to start the annual events later in the day though, so hopefully sometime this afternoon it will come. We can check the item directory later to see when things get added ~

I'm ready to beer it up (although I don't like beer). I always like how relaxed Alegaten is after the frenzy of Keel Hauliday.

If we don't get many new items like last year, I'd at least like to see more older thing return. I'm still missing one or two.

thanks!! i was really pleased with how it came out (i was worried the skin wouldn't look too good, and i had problems with the eyes), so i've been trying to shoehorn it into as many events as i can, haha
